On-site interviews

Here we are referring to surveys conducted where an activity of interest is happening, and the interview captures feedback which is ‘in-the-moment’ or very shortly after an experience from those at the venue. For instance, with customers or patrons in a retail, office or event environment.

The interview is a face-to face encounter, but observation of customer and crowd behaviour can also be an instructive part of the research. We have used on-site interviews in studies conducted for Shopping Centres and specific retailers, at Markets, Conference centres and events such as those held on Australia Day in different parts of the Melbourne CBD and the Air Show.
